Sparked sends a small amount of starting capital to people entering apps on Base, funded entirely by creator revenue the project earns. These terms say what that is and, more importantly, what it is not.

1 · what a Spark is

A Spark is a one-off transfer of a small amount of USDC on Base, sent at our discretion to a wallet address you control. Campaign 01 pays $3 USDC.

It is a gift of starting capital. It is not a payment for services, not a reward you earn by completing steps, not a loan, not an investment, and not a security. Nothing is expected from you in return, and there is nothing you can do to make one owed to you.

Discretionary means discretionary.

Being eligible is not being entitled. Applying is not being entitled. Being approved is not being entitled either — a Spark exists once it has been sent and confirmed on Base, and not before.

2 · who can receive one

You must be able to hold a wallet lawfully where you live, and you must not be subject to sanctions that would make paying you unlawful. Sparked is not available where receiving it would break the law that applies to you — that judgement is yours to make.

One Spark per person per campaign. One per wallet is the rule we can enforce; one per person is the rule we intend. Using several wallets to collect several Sparks from one campaign defeats the point of the project, and we treat it as a reason to decline.

3 · we may decline, and we may not say why

We can refuse any application, pause any campaign, or stop paying altogether, at any time and without notice.

When we decline, we generally will not explain the reason. This is not evasiveness: the checks exist to stop one person collecting many Sparks, and a published rule set is a published instruction manual for getting around it. Consequently there is no appeal process and no status page.

A declined application is not an accusation. It means this wallet did not clear our checks for this campaign, and nothing more than that.

4 · what we never promise

that you will make money, keep money, or break even that a Spark will be available when you apply that a campaign will run for any length of time that any token, including $SPARK, will have value that an application will be answered on any timescale

The Spark Pool is funded only by creator revenue as it arrives. When the pool is empty, nothing is paid, and no queue or IOU is created by waiting. See the risk notice.

5 · your wallet is yours

We never take custody of your funds and never ask for a seed phrase or private key. The only thing we ever ask you to sign is a plain text message proving you control an address. It costs no gas, moves nothing, and approves no spending.

You are responsible for the address you give us. A Spark sent to an address you supplied is sent; transfers on Base cannot be reversed by us or by anyone.

6 · independence

Sparked is an independent builder project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to o1.exchange, Coinbase, Base, or any app a campaign sends you to. Their names appear because that is where the campaign points, not because they have approved anything.

What happens on those platforms is between you and them, under their terms, not ours.

7 · the proof NFT

A confirmed Spark may be recorded as a non-transferable NFT on Base. It is a receipt: it proves a payment happened. It carries no financial rights, cannot be sold, and grants no claim on the project, on revenue, or on future campaigns.

If the mint fails, the Spark is unaffected. The money is the payment; the NFT is a record of it.

8 · what is public

Confirmed Sparks appear in a public ledger: the recipient address, the amount, the transaction and the date. This is unavoidable — the payment happens on a public blockchain and would be visible whether or not we published it.

Your X handle is shown only if you ask for it. Applications, review outcomes and reasons are never published. Details are in the privacy notice.

9 · acceptable use

do not apply more than once per campaign do not use automation, scripts or bots to apply do not misrepresent who you are or how you arrived do not attempt to overload or probe the service

We may decline, reverse eligibility, or stop serving anyone doing these things.

10 · liability

Sparked is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using the site, from trading on any platform, from network or wallet failures, or from a Spark not being sent.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11 · changes

These terms may change. The date at the top is the version in force. Continuing to use Sparked after a change means the new version applies to you.
