risk.
Sparked hands people a small amount of real money to start with. What happens to it afterwards is genuinely uncertain, and this page is the part of the site that says so without softening it.
Trading cryptocurrency carries the risk of total loss. Not a dip, not a bad month — the whole balance, quickly, with no way to get it back. This is the ordinary outcome for a large share of people who try, not a rare accident.
a Spark is starting capital, not advice
Receiving a Spark means somebody sent you $3. It does not mean anyone thinks trading is a good idea for you, that any particular trade is worth making, or that any platform is safe.
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. We do not know your circumstances and are not in a position to advise you. If you want advice, get it from someone qualified and regulated to give it.
what makes it risky
None of these are hypothetical. Each of them empties wallets every day.
only what you can afford to lose
A Spark is small on purpose. Three dollars is enough to see how something works and small enough that losing it changes nothing.
That property belongs to the Spark, not to whatever you add to it. Money you put in afterwards is your own, at your own risk, and the size of it is your decision alone.
the $SPARK token
It is not a share, not a security, and gives no right to revenue, profit, dividends, governance or repayment. Creator revenue funds the Spark Pool; holding the token does not entitle anyone to a part of it.
Any market price it has is set by whoever is trading it, and can go to zero. Buying it is not participating in the project and confers nothing beyond the token itself.
no promises about the pool
Sparks are paid only while the Spark Pool holds a balance, and the pool is funded solely by creator revenue as it arrives. Nothing is pre-funded and nothing is guaranteed.
When the pool is empty, no Spark is paid and no place in a queue is created. An empty pool is a normal state, not a fault, and waiting through one earns nothing.
the platforms we point at
Campaigns send you to third-party apps. We are independent of every one of them: we do not run them, audit them, or vouch for them, and we have no control over what they do with your funds or your data.
Their risks are theirs, and yours once you are there. Read what they ask you to agree to.
where you live matters
Rules on crypto differ sharply by country, and some make holding, trading or receiving it restricted or unlawful. Working out what applies to you is your responsibility, not ours.
if you are unsure
Not trading is a legitimate answer. A Spark can simply sit in your wallet, and nobody loses anything if it does — least of all us. There is no obligation attached to it and no deadline on it.
